NEW PATIENT CONSULTATION
At the initial appointment, the hygienist will undertake a thorough medical history and dental history. A thorough assessment will be done with the aim of diagnosing any problems you may have with your gums and soft tissue. The hygienist will discuss treatment options and give you management advice and demonstrate tailor made advice and oral hygiene programme for you to do at home, along with advice on how to manage any gum condition. If the assessment is not too complex, there is normally time for treatment of scale and polish at this 1st visit.
The cost of each 1-hour appointment is £130 and, for your convenience, we accept payment by bacs, cash, or cheque.

Scale & Polish
We can remove the accumulation of calculus or tartar along the gum line by scaling it away using a combination of ultra-sonic scaler, hand scalers and a polishing hand piece.
The number of visits needed depends on how much calculus (tartar) and staining you have built up on your teeth.
We sometimes need more than one appointment to complete the treatment.
Sometimes it may be necessary to administer topical anesthetic (Spray or cream) or local anaesthetic to make the treatment more comfortable for you.
To prevent gingivitis (or inflammation of the gums) from recurring, you should practice good oral hygiene by brushing, flossing, and brushing between the teeth with special little brushes (interden-tal brushes).
Fluoride Treatment
Fluoride is a natural mineral that builds strong teeth and prevents cavities. It’s been an essential oral health treatment for decades. Fluoride supports healthy tooth enamel and fights the bacteria that harm teeth and gums. Tooth enamel is the outer protective layer of each tooth.
What happens during a professional fluoride treatment?
We provide professional fluoride treatments in the form of a highly concentrated rinse, foam, gel, or varnish. The treatment may be applied with a swab, brush, tray, or mouthwash.
These treatments have much more fluoride than what’s in your water or toothpaste. They only take a few minutes to apply. You may be asked to avoid eating or drinking for 30 minutes after the treatment so the fluoride can fully absorb.
Teeth whitening
We offer tooth whitening, home whitening. Tooth whitening can be achieved gradually at home using custom made trays with a home whitening kit.
Before any whitening procedure we would need to ensure that your mouth is healthy in order to decide the best way of whitening for you and to make sure that the expected results will meet your expectations.
It is important to mention that tooth whitening can only be carried out legally by a registered dentist or hygienist who will conform to the latest safety regulations. This is the only way that you can ensure that the procedure and products used are safe and will not severely damage your teeth.
