"Yesterday was the first time ever to be seen by an dental hygienist and what an amazing experience I had, all thanks to Brenda. I have never been told to see an hygienist nor had my teeth cleaned (I'm 25yrs old) and I visit my NHS dentist regularly. I met Brenda in May this year who explained how important it is to look after not only your teeth but your gums too, I booked an appointment and was pretty scared due to a needle phobia but Brenda put me at ease with her gentle approach, gave me numbing cream before a local and before I new it, my first treatment was complete without any pain. Brenda kindly told me I have gum disease and explained how I can treat it,she took her time to show me how to clean my teeth and gums which in 25yrs I never new how to do it properly. I purchase a few items from Brenda to help my gums and hopefully in a months time when my next treatment is due I will have it at bay. All thanks to Brenda I have found out what's wrong with my teeth/gums and can hopefully now have better looking teeth, without seeing her I would of carried on having problems without knowing as my NHS dentist has never told me so it just goes to show seeing an dental hygienist is very well worth it. "I felt somewhat offended when my dentist recommended that it would be beneficial for me to visit a hygienist. My feelings of chastisement turned to horror a few moments later as he uttered the words dentures and gum disease! Needless to say, he had my attention! I booked my first session at Bright smile dental hygiene practice promptly, following my dentist's recommendation. Was a little nervous on my first visit, however it soon became apparent I was in very capable, caring and professional hands. I was made to feel very welcome and put at ease. Brenda confirmed my need for a thorough and regular hygiene practice and told me her treatment alongside my new cleaning regime would make a great deal of difference. She patiently and graphically showed me how to properly clean my teeth which has resulted in me really understanding the procedure and therefore being diligent in my practice of it. Things have improved massively in my mouth....no more bleeding gums or persistent niggly aching. With her thorough and precise treatment Brenda also found a couple of small problems that weren’t,t revealed to my dentist's slightly different tools. So we were able to get some treatment done before too much damage occurred. I had quadrant cleaning performed over 2 sessions an amazingly intense descaling and although I can`t say I enjoyed the procedure, the results are superb. I regularly attend 3-month appointments for Brenda’s expertise in keeping everything in good order and advising me on changing my interdental brush size in individual places etc. When I attend my dentist appointments now, all the effort has paid off with praise and congratulations from my dentist which is delightful! I have no hesitation in recommending Brenda,s services and wish I,d been educated by her a lot sooner."

First impressions; Bright Smile shares the building with a sports injury clinic, I was warmly greeted by the Physiotherapist (Tom I think) with an offer of Tea or Coffee, I was early so sat and chatted to Tom, a really interesting, friendly guy with years of experience. I was then greeted by Brenda, the Dental Hygienist, she was warm, friendly and very professional. After a 30 - 40 minute inital treatment for an amazing price, the difference was incredible.
